CAREER

GENERAL MANAGER

The General Manager is accountable for leading profitable operations of the store and is responsible for driving the focal points of the company’s retail strategy: customer service, merchandise, and store appearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver the World’s Greatest Firearm Experience

  • Effectively communicate and partner with corporate staff to drive alignment, establish store direction and provide timely resolution of operational issues

  • Analyze and interpret financial reporting to assess opportunities and forecast future sales volume, determine successes in department’s key areas and provide guidance to store team for continuous improvement

  • Review and analyze store’s shrink and safety performance; identify trends and implement appropriate game plans for improvement

  • Drive operations and budget performance by reducing costs while maintaining standards, achieving shrinkage goals, managing labor costs and other controllable expenses

  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings to establish and implement store goals and objectives

  • Teach, coach, and train store managers and associates on operational processes, merchandising standards, store appearance and profitability; coach, counsel and discipline associates as needed for continuous improvement

  • Create a safe working environment and a culture of operational excellence

  • Continuously monitor merchandise inventory and ensure follow-through to resolve out-of-stock items

  • Team member skill assessment, development, and strategic placement

  • Understand and be proficient in firearms sales and forms as required by Federal and State and Local laws; Form 4473, Multiple Handgun Sale (MHS) Form, Call procedures and Response Implications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

  • 5+ years prior retail management experience, preferably in the firearm industry

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal, persuasive, leadership and negotiation skills required to interact with all levels of the store team

  • Proven ability to manage processes and to lead and develop solid teams, build relationships, and influence decisions

  • Strong knowledge of computer programs (MS Office) and POS systems

  • Able to create and monitor key performance indicators

  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Must pass drug test, background check, and any pre-employment tests if applicable

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER (RSO)

The Range Safety Officer (RSO) is accountable for executing all Range Safety Processes and, as such, must be able to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while remaining constantly vigilant to ensure the safety of all guests and Staff.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver the World Class Firearm Experience

  • Ensure control over the safety of all range guests and team members by observing all users and respectfully but directly, addressing any behavior that could be considered unsafe

  • Seamlessly execute all range safety processes

  • Safely and effectively handle range rental and customer firearms

  • Provide concise and comprehensive range briefings to all range guests

REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of Range Safety Officer (RSO) experience

  • Must be observant and possess the ability to make quick and accurate decisions

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment

  • Proven ability to manage and adhere to processes

  • Functional proficiency with computer programs and systems

  • Individual who is driven, confident and flexible

  • Must pass a drug test, background check, and any pre-employment tests if applicable

SALES ASSOCIATE

A Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring an efficient flow of the sales process for all guests. This is accomplished by an unwavering commitment to and execution of the established sales process. Sales Associates spend all their time on the sales floor constantly interacting with guests and members of the team to always deliver the World’s Greatest Firearm Experience.

CASHIER

A Cashier is responsible for performing the checkout and ATF Form 4473 completion process for all guests.  As such, this position is stationed at either the Firearm Transaction or Checkout area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a cash register and collect payments

  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and/or or change for each transaction

  • Accurately complete required paperwork and background checks required for firearm sales

  • Answer phone calls

  • Connect with customers by graciously listening to questions or concerns; asking open ended questions; recommending solutions; answering questions and responding to concerns in a timely manner

  • Ability to operate, demonstrate and explain merchandise -- understand and be proficient in restricted and non-restricted sales, refunds/returns, consignment, gift cards, member, and nonmembers use of the facilities

  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business

REQUIREMENTS
